The Grateful Bread Bakery is a small, family run artisan bakery in the heart of Hexham, Northumberland, specialising in sourdough bread. We also sell some of the good stuff that goes with bread, like Ampersand Dairy cultured butter, locally made honey and jams, and bags of freshly roasted coffee by Ouseburn Coffee Co.

🎄 Lots of you are asking about Christmas Eve orders..
Yes - we'll be open Christmas Eve, and then closed until Friday 2nd Jan to allow all of the team at nice rest with their friends and family.
Yes - we'll open the website up as usual for pre-orders for Christmas Eve Bake only. Like before, about a third of what we produce will be available for pre-ordering and when it's gone it's gone - we won't take any more orders. The rest of our bread will be available for walk ups on the day.
